# Gallery & Showcase

> The two public surfaces, and which one your work belongs on

Pixio has two public surfaces. They're easy to confuse, so:

|               | [Gallery](https://beta.pixio.myapps.ai/gallery) | [Showcase](https://beta.pixio.myapps.ai/showcase) |
| ------------- | ----------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------- |
| What's on it | Images, video, audio, and 3D made with Pixio | AI-generated videos and films |
| Scope | Everything the community publishes | Curated cinema |
| Feel          | Browse what's possible                          | Watch finished work                               |
| Creator pages | —                                               | Yes, per creator                                  |

**Gallery** is the broad public feed of published work across every output type. **Showcase** is the video and film surface, with its own creator pages.

## Publishing

You publish from your own work — in [Generate](/generate) or [My Assets](/assets), choose to publish a finished generation to the public gallery.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Pick a finished result">
    Anything succeeded, in your history or assets.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Publish it">
    It becomes visible on the public gallery.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Unpublish whenever">
    Publication is reversible. Unpublishing removes it from public view.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Before you publish

<Warning>
  Publishing makes work **publicly visible**. Don't publish client work, anything under NDA, images of people who haven't agreed, or anything you'd want back. Unpublishing removes it from Pixio, but it can't retrieve what someone already saw or saved.
</Warning>

Worth checking:

* **Do I have the rights?** Trained on someone's likeness or a client's product? Get agreement first.
* **Is anything identifying in it?** Check the image itself, not just the prompt.
* **Would I be happy attached to this?** Published work is associated with you.

## Publishing vs sharing

Two different jobs:

* **Publish** when you want the work *found* — gallery and showcase are discoverable
* **[Share a link](/library/share-links)** when you want it *seen by specific people* — not discoverable, but anyone with the URL can view

## Getting inspired

The gallery is a research tool as much as a display case. Browsing it shows what the current models are genuinely capable of — usually more informative than reading a model description.

## Related

* [My Assets](/assets) — publish and unpublish
* [Share links](/library/share-links) — private sharing
* [Generate](/generate) — publish straight from a result
