What “unlimited” actually means

This is the part worth being precise about. On Maker, models fall into two buckets: So “forget about credits” holds for the included set — not for literally every model in the catalog. The expensive frontier models are the ones most likely to stay metered.
Pixio publishes exactly which models are in which bucket at beta.pixio.myapps.ai/maker. Check there before planning heavy work — it’s authoritative and updated as the catalog changes.

Reading the Maker page

The page separates models into:
  • Included with Maker — no credit deduction
  • Uses your credits — available, still metered
  • Also included on lower plans — included on Maker and at least one cheaper plan, which may mean you don’t need Maker for your workload
That last group is the useful one before you upgrade. If the models you actually use are included on Premium, Premium may be the better buy.

If your models are included, Maker removes a real ceiling. If they’re metered, credit packs may be cheaper.
Don’t upgrade to Maker on the assumption that everything becomes free. If your work is concentrated in metered models, you’ll pay $199.99 and still spend credits.
