No. Pixio Canvas has no native account registration. Local drawing works immediately. Optional cloud features use a Pixio API key that you provide from your own Pixio account.
No. A production or TestFlight build does not bundle a Pixio key. Every user supplies their own. A key already visible on your iPad came from that device’s Keychain.
No. Quiet mode, drawing, layers, undo and redo, bundled guides, local canvases, and Photo-to-Stencil work without AI. Whisper, Duet, Generate Stencil, Animate, and Pixio Library are cloud features.
No. Finger drawing is supported. Apple Pencil provides a more natural drawing and tracing experience when available.
Yes. Local drawing and stencil tools work offline after the app is installed. Pixio AI and Pixio Library require internet access.
The app does not sell subscriptions, credits, or API access. AI requests use credits from the connected Pixio account. Cost varies by the live model and request.
Photo-to-Stencil converts an image you choose on the iPad and saves it under Custom Stencils without an AI request. Generate Stencil sends your description through Pixio to a compatible image model after permission and can use credits.
No. Companion results arrive as separate layers. Your ink stays editable, and new ink drawn while Duet is working remains above the result.
The local Library stores Pixio Canvas documents on the iPad. Pixio Library is separate and displays cloud assets associated with the connected Pixio key.
Open Settings → Companion Key → Remove key. You can also withdraw permission under Settings → AI Processing. Neither action automatically deletes local drawings or existing cloud assets.
Delete a canvas from the local Library, remove an entry from Custom Stencils, or delete an individual canvas layer. The red trash control clears the current canvas only after confirmation.
